Greetings from Finland!

It was very nice to find your site! And I would like to participate on the needle felting contest ๐Ÿ™‚ !

This is a man sitting and enjoying the peace of nature (in the forest) with his best friend (the dog).

They have picked berries and now they are roasting sausage at the campfire, and there is no rush anywhere.

I love to mix several materials in to my felted products, as you can see at this work too ๐Ÿ™‚

Best regards,

  1. This is a lovely scene showing the possibilities of combining needle felting with other materials to compliment the sculptures. I love the details. Look at the bushy eyebrows and the shading in the dogs nose. The campfire is very original too. And the arm around the dog is so precious!! Great job!

  2. Hello Gerry,
๐Ÿ™‚ Thank You for your kind feedback !

  3. What a beautiful and peaceful scene !! They look so happy and relaxed together and I love the way you have mixed materials. The fire is so clever !!!

  4. Outstanding!!! It tells its own story….. Wonderful work! The fire is very clever….& the sausage looks yummy….. Love the expression on the dog…so content…. I really like the mixed media…
    Wonderful presentation!

  5. Gunilla & Lynne->
Very nice to read your comments!
    ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks!

  6. Wow!

  7. Please could you tell me how the eyes on the man are done? I have seen other felting sculptures with eyes similar but don’t know how to do them.
Love the whole scene but the dogs expression especially made me smile he looks so happy!

  8. The dog’s blissed-out face is so charming. Your piece triggers lots of nice memories. Very cool!

  9. Hello ๐Ÿ™‚
Yes, the eyes are needle felted.
First I needle the shape of the eye, and then put on the coloured wools as they really are …
(Starting with white, then blue and until the end put on the black and add the little highlight sparkle does the eye finalized…)
Just try and youยดll find out the best & easy way for you to do it :)!

  10. Thanks for your comment Sari. Your needle felted eyes are exceptional!!

  11. Many thanks Sari,
Iwould never have guessed the eyes were needlefelted – you are really talented
As you may have have guessed I am a newbie and thanks to you have just learned something new!!

  12. This is WONDERFUL!! Such a wonderful story diarama!! I, too, would love a tutorial on how to do these felted eyes.

  13. I am planning a post on eyes soon!
