Buffy is a cute little Bichon Fris`e. She is made over an armature with merino wool roving blended with silk strands. She has black glass eyes and a black glass nose. She has her tiny pink tongue out. She is wearing a beaded collar with a heart pendant attached, also made by me. She measures about 3 1/2″ long from her nose to the end of her body and about 3 3/4″ tall to the top of her head. She is so fluffy, you’ll love petting her!

Hello Karen your little bichon is really sweet you did a wonderful job! What size is she? Have you been felting for a long time? Ginette

Precious, Precious!
Did you do the coat like the long coat all over & then trim? Did you go around each legs?
Precious Pup!

Hi Ginette..thank you for your kind words. Buffy is 3 1/2″ long by 3 3/4″ tall. I’ve been felting for about 3 years now and I love it with a passion. How about you? Karen

Hi Lynne….Thanks. I apply the coat short but it still needs trimming. I go all around the legs on all of my furred sculptures. Its more work but I think it gives the piece a more finished look. Karen

What a wonderful, intense expression. That’s a pup ready for action! No surprise that you have done an amazing job once again, Karen!

what size are the eyes and nose?

The eyes are 4mm which can work in a 2 to 4 inch dog and the nose is 6mm…sometimes smaller depending on the breed. What size are you making?

So life-like that it blows my mind! I’ve always dreamed of owning a real life pocket-sized pup! Oh well..a girl can dream can’t she?
